Women-Led Companies Hiring During Covid-19

It may come as no surprise to know that most investor funding is going towards men-founded companies, leaving women founders to settle for a small piece of the pie. What’s more troubling is that venture capital investment is growing year over year, and yet last year only saw 11.2% of VC deals in the US go to women-led companies. In 2019 the venture capital industry invested a record-setting $130 billion+ in US-based companies, yet the percentage of funding that went to women founding teams was disappointingly small.

As if raising money wasn’t hard enough for every entrepreneur, women founders face unique obstacles when raising money, but they don’t let that get in the way, women are creating more companies now than in recent years.

The world has been slow to provide equal opportunities for women and other minorities. But there is only one way to change this and that is to keep fighting and proving everyone wrong, and we are sure some of the women leading these companies will be among the ones leading. These startups are hiring even during the COVID-19 pandemic and looking to add talented people to their teams.
